Sundus Barakzai

Sundus Barakzai is a California-licensed attorney who brings more than a decade of experience in law, civic advocacy, and international development to her current role as a passionate Workers’ Compensation attorney. With an LL.M. in Rule of Law and Democratic Governance from Ohio Northern University and a strong foundation in both U.S. and international legal systems, Sundus has a deep understanding of the structural barriers injured workers face—and a relentless drive to break them down.

Before entering the field of Workers’ Compensation, Sundus worked in both legal and nonprofit sectors, supporting civil society organizations, conducting civic education, and coordinating legal services in complex areas like immigration and labor law. Her diverse experience gives her a unique ability to connect with clients from all walks of life, especially those whose voices are too often overlooked.

Sundus is driven by purpose—not profit. She believes in the dignity of labor and fights fiercely for injured workers, particularly those in physically demanding jobs who keep our society running but rarely get the recognition they deserve. She approaches each case with compassion, strategic skill, and unwavering commitment.

When she’s not advocating for her clients, Sundus enjoys playing pickleball and has a lifelong love of cats.
