Victoria Vertner is an attorney with over 10 years of experience. Prior to workers comp she provided legal services as a criminal defense attorney, a civil litigation attorney, and associate counsel for a corporation. Ms. Vertner’s skills include research and writing, court appearances, analysis of discovery, legal document analysis, drafting legal memorandums, contract drafting and negotiation, revising employee handbooks, drafting employment policies, and negotiating favorable outcomes for her clients. 

Ms. Vertner has successfully represented clients in criminal and civil court, has researched and drafted numerous legal pleadings, memorandums, and contracts. Ms. Vertner is multilingual. She can speak and write in Spanish and Italian and has interpreted for Spanish speaking and Italian speaking clients.  

During law school Victoria interned at the Northern California Innocence Project and helped exonerate a client. She also interned with Fresh Lifelines For Youth, teaching at risk youth about criminal law. 

Ms. Vertner was raised in a law firm by two criminal defense attorneys. Ms. Vertner learned early in life the importance of integrity, strong research and writing, and commitment to clients. She has received favorable outcomes, positive reviews, and referrals from former clients over the years. 

Ms. Vertner received her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a minor in Literature.
